I always thought I was a light sleeper. I could always hear the girls coming in after a night out. Last night however I didn't hear the commotion 1 street over. A detached garage caught on fire around 11:30 pm. A neighbour on his way home from work seen the smoke and alerted authorities. The fire was contained to the garage and some heat damage to neighbouring fences. No injuries. I read about it in our local online newspaper.
Switching gears, I have never liked having my photo taken, I feel like a deer in the headlights when it's a formal pose and most family snapshots are anything but flattering. Well we had a photo session in Calgary this past June with one of Aaron's co-workers whose sideline is photography. She is also a techie and photoshopped most of the pictures to the point I didn't recognize us. However this one seems the most au naturel one and I love it. It was almost a candid shot as we were finishing up the posed ones.
