Fingers crossed

Years ago when my darling husband was working in Europe he returned with some live concert dvds. At first I didn't appreciate them at first but I soon found that I loved them for inspiration and motivation to walk/run 1 more minute/km. Movies were too hard to follow and my pace wasn't where I wanted or needed it to be. CDs were fine but it's nice to have a visual distraction that's more appealing than a blank basement wall.

Well about 3 months ago the dvd started to stall/skip and in general wear out. AGHHHH! WHATAMIGONNADO?????

I've been haunting all the online sources I could find via my search engine of choice. No luck finding the exact same one until yesterday. Popped over to eBay and there were 2 gently used copies up for grabs. One was over priced once the Euro conversion and shipping costs were calculated in. The other is available here in North America at an awesome price. So....I figured it's only a few bucks I've gambling with and if it turns out, it'll be an awesome purchase.

Now to wait. Guess I'll pop another favorite concert in and keep company with Maurice, Robin & Barry in Las Vegas!

Later :)

Running is a great way to relieve stress

And clear the mind.
Joan Van Ark

I fell off the treadmill routine but I'm happy to be back. Surprise surprise,I didn't back slide as much as I expected. Now to ramp it up and give it all I have! I love tracking my progress with NIKE+.

Despite contradictory groundhog findings, I think we are seeing the last of winter. The days are warmer, skies clearer and the snow has begun to melt. I am e cited about this year's garden. Heading out to get some seeding trays and start the prep. We have company arriving this weekend and so I will seed Monday when the house is quiet once more.

We are planning our trip west to see the BC family next month.  A certain young man is growing at light ending speed. He's such a character, sometimes shy about speaking on the phone, other times he can't get the words out fast enough.  I think he has a mini golf date planned for us, which should be a treat because from what we hear, he's a Golden Bear in the making!

Well a short post is all I have today, baby steps to get back into the swing of things.  Hope you are all well, doing what you enjoy the most with those special to your heart.

Fertilizer Friday

Not much new growing here except my list of things I want to grow outside this year. No matter how cold and miserable it can get outside mid January, a quiet few minutes with a hot cup of tea and a couple of seed catalogs will re-energize you in no time!

Lucky me to have received 2 bouquets of birthday flowers last Friday & Saturday. Today I rearranged them into one vase. They are still beautiful and quite fragrant.

/ & \ Progress

Not a lot but what I did do yesterday on Dressmaker's Daughter felt great. I was away from stitching so long the first 20 minutes felt awkward and cumbersome. Couldn't get comfy sitting, not enough light...working on 32 ct linen...found myself counting and recounting over and over...but I made some teeny tiny steps towards a stitching routine. Today cloudy so I may try a different chair so I can sit closer to the window. I find it easier with as much natural light as possible. I do have a daylight bulb in my lamp but I like mega lumen!

Still moving more,29.08 km since I decided to get serious about this whole aging thing. I didn't like the other option! Weight isn't moving much but I am sleeping better. Joe's doing really well too. He's also using the NIKE+ program. Last week he tried running before breakfast but he seems to prefer after work. While I put the final touches on supper, he runs, showers and puts his pjs on. That's ok on the nights we aren't going out.

I did some major home office purging. Yea me! Set up a new spreadsheet for the year. Now to work on the budget, me thinks we have a bathroom reno in our future.

I thank you for popping around to visit BHHH, hope you have a fantastic day doing what you love with those you love!
