2 down 1 to go but I want to KNIT!!!!!

A friend from a local yahoo group I participate in just showed me the light! Continental knitting...I had never heard let alone seen this before. Kelly-Anne sent along a YouTube link and it looks like a winner! I can't wait for my next project. But first after this wee break I have to package up DH's tax return for his signature and then it's off in the mail with mine. I'll work on Dad's tomorrow after I put new ink in the adding machine!

Leaf and Lace Set

This set was knit for our next grandson, to be named Jonathan, who is due to arrive around the Chirstmas holidays. I found the pattern in one of my late Mom's stash, she had made the same pattern for one of my girl's, in a mint green. I used Bernat Baby and found it a nice yarn to work with. A added bonus is the free pattern on the back of the wrapper! 3 balls of yarn, same dye lot but 3 different patterns....how to add to my stash in 1 fell swoop! The baby shower is early December so I have a bit more time to find a nice navy sleeper!

Current Project

I am knitting a baby sweater set for our third grandson Jonathan, who is due late December. Our eldsest daughter Heather took her time deciding to become a Mommy, but we know she will be a great one! Jeff is already planning things to do when Jonathan gets older!

One regret I have is that my Mother never had the chance to see me become a grandmother and our daughters Mothers. Family was very important to her and so I decided to go through some of her old knitting books and find a set that she once knitted for me when I was expecting Heather. Fitting, don't you think?
