Yesterday was SAL Tuesday - Fred - waited on my side table while I played away in the garden! It was a good day of harvesting. At the end of it, we had some yummy veggies which I shared with my dear friend. I also had something else which was somewhat embarrassing - purple hands! Beets will do that every time...and I find gloves too clumsy to wear. So I didn't dare stitch in case of colour transfer.
So with some crafting time on my hands I decided to do some surfing. I've always been a fan of Alex Anderson's Simply Quilts I was upset when they took her off the air. Seems she is coming back...now to hope that HGTV Canada picks her up! Anyways I found an exciting new to me quilter...Sally Collins! I looked through her gallery and was totally blown off my chair when I seen this!
What a wonderful way to display a special piece that symbolizes your family's love and connection. I don't think it'll be hard to make but picking just the right fabrics will be the tricky part.
I'm so glad I played with the beets yesterday, otherwise I may never have stumbled across this beauty!
