Sound mind but not body

I hadn't realized how long it's been since I posted...I am so sorry for that.

I finally got Dad's financial records back so I can sort them, pull out all the originals for his taxes, which I hope to complete in the next day or so.

Not much in back is stiff and painful, and I can't get comfortable enough that I could stitch accurately with out a visit from the frog patrol.

I can't think of anything I could have done to set this in motion but...obviously something went haywire. Part of it could be tension from all the audit run around.

Just a little background, 22 years ago I had an on the job accident and ended up in hospital with a herniated disc. After hospitalization, traction, physio and drugs, I was back to work before any WCB payments showed up. About a year later, it went again, only this time it was much worse. i was literally living on the living room floor, not far from the bathroom. We had 2 young girls and they transferred DH out of province to a ship while I was waiting for some form of treatment. I eventually got a date for a new experimental treatment, chemonucleoysis. Our padre got DH to fly home the day before my hospital stay. I had 6 months of recuperation, learning to walk, because I wasn't when I went into hospital.

I was almost immediately out of pain so I was a happy girl despite having to give up my very active sports life. I got off the meds ( I was worried for a while because of the amount I was taking and the type, there were some withdrawal symptoms) , learned some techniques to cope with the pain and got back to my life. Now, 22 years post treatment, I'm wondering, am I in for a rude awakening. I certainly hope not. I'm hoping that it's older age, spring weather changes and such...don't want to anticipate trouble that may not come.

In the mean time, i'm doing lots of quality reading! Take care everyone!

Berta, I deeply sympathize :o( Having gone from a normal life to one full of constant pain is a real wake up call and a life changing event. I hope it's just the weather and nothing more serious. HUGS!

Hey 'Berta

I'm so sorry for not acknowledging your lovely comment (way back in November!) and I'm sorry to hear that you are going through the wars yourself. I do hope the constant pain begins to dissipate and that you're feeling better soon. Thanks for sticking with me - Big hugs (((HUGS))) xxx

I can see why you would feel so concerned, Berta, after the awful time you have had in the past. I will send good thoughts your way for quick healing and I hope you will be pain-free soon.
