Progress and more projects!

Well...summer chair is almost ready for back stitching...will try and get a good photo over the weekend. Sorry the exposure isn't the greatest. I need tips from Pumpkin I think! Autumn is in the wings! Hope Bliss and Margaret haven't totally given up on me! Sorry ladies!

I have a head full of quilting ideas. I've committed to making another baby size one for the 2009 Tarts & Tallywacker Underwear Affair. I'm thinking it's going to be a bit fishy. I have some interesting blue fabric that variegates from a watery green. I'm also intrigued by the stash and slash blocks that seem to make themselves. Again I have quite a stash of leftovers just aching to be made into something fabulous. And..as if I need more to do...I want to try my hand at applique...hearts no less. I've seen a video snip it of Beth Ferrier's Hand Applique by Machine and it seems so doable! I'll keep you posted! Now to wait for a huge - I'm going out on a limb and probably going to jinx myself - sn*w storm so I have no outside distractions!!!

The boys are well. Mid term reports come out the end of the month...we are so excited by the test results that are coming through the door. If things all fall into place, there will be a new to him set of wheels parked outside our home...paid in full...CASH! What a great accomplishment for such a young person with just 2.5 months in a new job.

DH & I are looking at an early US gift...in the form of a warming device for our family room. We will be doing some comparison shopping this weekend. I realize that this is probably the very worst time of year for such a project BUT with folks not spending as much as prior years, we may luck in. Actually...i only that this thought about a week ago and DH loves it. If we are staying here, we may as well be comfy, right? Now my family is going to burning up the phone lines wanting to know what gives! They'll have to wait & wonder. this may not happen for one reason or another.

Summer Chair looks lovely, even without the backstitching. I can't wait to see your latest quilting start too!
