Balance is my friend

I've felt off balance for a while now, some probably due to my environment, some just me and this stage of my life. I am quite determined to go through this phase without benefit of medications...I hate taking anything. I've been researching the mind/body connection and am finding myself feeling more and more like my usual self, full of energy and good vibrations.

The biggest change is finding out that my basic nature is Kapha Vata and this dosha has trends that respond better to certain things in a certain order. The most surprising change...switching from coffee to a herbal tea - WOW!

I have more energy first thing in the morning, can't wait to get started, my thinking is clearer and I sleep like a log. I was trying to remember yesterday when I had my last hot flush/flash...you know what I mean! This is a wonderful flow to my day and for that I am very thankful!

Craft wise...I'm up to my eyeballs with plaid and pleats! I volunteered to make the kilts for Team Tarts & Tallywackers for the Underwear Affair Calgary 2009! It's not hard to do but OMG that's a lot of pressing! I finally got smart and pulled out my little Clover mini iron it's lightweight with good heat. So glad I thought of it before I was on the last kilt!
I potted up some perennials that I'm taking to the next garden club meeting for our spring exchange. I have a fiddlehead fern, bleeding heart, astilbe and a hosta sitting in the greenhouse, out of the potential nasty snow they are calling for Monday/Tuesday! Wonder what gems I will bring home? I lost my liatris over the winter, so perhaps there will be a replacement one. This is always a popular session with lots of laughter over who got what! One person's 'trash' is definitely someone else's treasure!

Berta, it looks like things are getting better for you. I know what you mean about hot flashes. I also don't like taking medications so I managed to get over those "flashes" by myself.

I often wondered how well that mini iron worked. Now due to you, I know.

Glad to hear you are finding "YOUR OWN BALANCE" and not a balance that someone else thinks is you.
Can't wait to see what you bring home in exchange for your plants, and I have to admit that I currently have one hanging basket, the rest I put grass seed on. I love gardens and flowers but I can't seem to squeeze one more thing into my day, unless I want to stop stitching which is not an option...I would really lose my balance if I had to stop stitching!
