My upside down home

This is my dining room...amongst the chaos is my dining table, 4 chars, buffet & hutch, 4 bookcases, 1 antique pump organ...my great grandmother's!...1 love seat, 2 laZboys, coffee table and end tables, and a plant!

This is the downstairs guest room, piled high with 2 twin mattresses, clothes from our closet...the hanging system needed to be replaced and now was as good a time as ever...stacks of books, 4 Season chairs kit in progress, and love seat cushions!

This it the empty living room avec the tres ugly gray stained carpet. We have cleaned that more times than I care to think about, and the stains keep reappearing. When they fellas ripped out the old carpet, you should be seen the mess on the back of the carpet...GROSS! The good news, despite the underpad being well past its prime, it kept everything from going through to the sub floor which looked quite pristine for the age of the house.

TaDa! New light golden textured carpet in the living room, hallway, 2 bedrooms and 2 staircases. I think it's going to look marvelous after we repaint and then reload the furniture.
BUT
I don't want to put everything back...I like the open airy feel after the other more oppressive 'cave'! Now...to find somewhere great for the family pump organ....hmmm...I wonder if either one of our daughters is up to a grand gift! Have a great weekend folks!

Boy, do I sympathize with you on renovations messes. We are finally back to normal here after months of messes. Good luck and be assured there is an end to it all.
