and a great trip it was!

After a full 12 hour drive this is a sample of what we were treated to as we drove into our daughter's neighbourhood.  Every house was beautifully landscaped.  The lawns were green and lush and the magnolia's were just coming into full bloom - it was spectacular.

The not so good news was that JR had a horrific cold...he was juicy most of the times, but he still managed lots of smiles especially when he continually beat me @ WII Mario Karts! I better practice while I can.  In this photo JR is "Relaxing!"  His words.  His vocabulary astounded me.  I think he will go far in the educational world, perhaps a teacher...he was always holding something up asking what it was in that teacher-esque manner!

And it wouldn't be Easter without egg dying!  JR really got into it and was very careful not to mix all the colours.  He was quite concerned with the first egg about his dirty fingers but he soon figured out fingers could be washed after the fun!  He only dropped one hard boiled egg, which cracked badly but we went ahead and coloured it anyways!  What a proud young man...you did great JR!

We didn't get much shopping done...but I won't let that happen the next time!  The guys got in a game of golf between sun showers.  Positioned half way up a hill/mountain we had a gorgeous view of the weather to come...I guess that's the good or bad news depending out what you have planned! lol  After the first day, we stopped running for cover when the rain started...why fight it.  I just wished it would have followed us home...our area is parched and that's not a good thing.

Hope you had a wonderful Easter with your loved ones!

Sounds like you had an amazing time with your family.
Love your tulips. That is something we miss here after springtime in The Netherlands last year.
