Gotta love the laundry cycle!

I have about 40 minutes before I have to reboot the wash, so I get to stitch some more! Bit by bit, it's coming together.

I did find it hard on my eyes doing the black half cross stich on the navy background. But when I had it off the hoop and stepped back a bit, it is very effective. I guess you just can't appreciate the subtle colours when your nose is ~14 inches from the fabric!

Oh that is looking just beautiful. I don't like half stitched to begin with, especially on dark fabrics! LOL Can not wait to see more of it!!!

I scared myself, thinking I had some frogging to do! If you look closely at my work vs the finished photo in the sidebar, the second tree looks odd. I actually went back and rechecked my stitches thinking I was off a bit. However I found that I did it correctly but it still needs to have some back stitching etc done. Yhew! I don't like ripping stuff out but I will.

Hi Berta, your moonlit cabin is looking good-I have never stitched on a darker fabric-bad eyes,

It is looking great, Berta! You might want to try stitching with some tin foil on your lap (or underneath your stitching). The light will reflect through the holes and make it a tad easier to see.

Thanks Christine for that suggestion. Right now I have a white pillow case, but with all this cloud cover the past 10 days, it's been a struggle. Now to keep my cat away from the tin foil while I'm working!
