Couldn't have had a better Christmas

We finally got to hold, cuddle and kiss Jonathan this past weekend. What a sweetheart, so content. One of DH's co-workers got him a Christmas stocking and we couldn't resist tucking him into it! He is a very much loved little boy!

Our other grandsons were more than proud to show off their Christmas tree, complete with a 'mermaid' on top! I suppose when you are only a few feet tall, you can't see the angel's wings!

Christmas dinner seen the whole family plus around the table. One of our SIL's co-workers would have been alone, so we invited him over. He came bearing gifts of homemade pie! What a tasty surprise.

After the food was cleared away and the dishes done, we all played some new board games. The kids were popping in and out of their playroom with updates on their activitives, Jonathan just watched it all between naps.

Christmas this year was truly about family - it was everything I could have wanted.

I'll be back stitching as soon as my turkey soup is finished! Mmmmm....turkey!

What a beautiful baby! I was older when I got married and had my children. My daughter is a teenager and I am old enough to be a grandmother. When you get to that age, you just start wanting a grandchild. I have told my daughter (joking) that I want a grandchild. She refuses to get pregnant at 17 just to make me a grandmother!LOL I guess I will just have to wait. I really enjoy reading your blog!

A handsome little boy! Glad to see you got some wonderful time with family this year and hopefully every year from now on.
Enjoy your turkey soup, I didn't have any celebrations at my house this year and we are missing the leftovers the most, no turkey sandwiches, no soup...I may just have to cook a turkey to get us thru! LOL, Happy New Year!
