Going into unknown territory

I'm going to try and work on 2 projects at the same time! I haven't tried this before, but I'm not getting any younger and this may just be up my alley.

Janlynn's Flower Girl Teddy is a needlepoint my DD gave me to stitch. Originally she got it from my sister, but DD doesn't have the time without the kiddies to stitch it. I did get this mounted on the dark frame from a previous post.

I think everyone knows Frederick the Literate by Charles Wysocki. Margaret was instrumental in me digging this out of my stash. Working on the black Aida cloth should be easier in these bright spring/summer months. I have the edges whip stitched but have yet to mount it on the scroll frame.

I had a wonderful weekend. I spoke with our girls and wished them a Happy Mother's Day. It seems we all all the good weather! I spent a lot of time with my garden and the hours just flew by. Mid afternoon, my BIL and family arrived for a quick visit and a BBQ supper. They were in town for a meeting and squeezed us in. It was nice to catch up on what everyone has been doing. They will be moving east mid summer, so we have to take advantage of every chance to get together that we can.

I would like to thank all my readers who pop into my little piece of blogland, you touch my heart!

How beautiful a day can be when friendship touches it!

I'm glad you had a nice Mother's Day! It seems a good idea to be working on those two pieces, this way you won't get bored.
Have a lovely day!

You will be just fine working on two projects at once. At the moment I have two going but when I am really disciplined i.e. doing a rotation, I can work on three or four a week. :)

I love the Cat in the Bookcase one! So cute.

Those are fiddleheads on my blog. My Mother has a ton of ferns in her front garden.

You will enjoy working on two projects at once. The break from the dark fabric now and again will do you good.
Are you joining our Tuesday SAL or do you feel that as too much pressure? Of course you must do what you feel you will enjoy most. I'm looking forward to your first Fred pictures.

Okay, I think you could have found two simpler projects to do at once! LOL! They will be lovely when complete and I LOVE black fabric :o)

Hello there :)

I've only recently discovered that having two projects on the go keeps your enthusiasm going, but I'm in the middle of deciding what to stitch next, as the project I'm doing at the moment is very hard going - it has oodles of fractional stitches - maybe it wasn't the right choice right now. But these two designs you have picked are lovely. Enjoy the day! :)
