I feel like such a whiner lucky person today!

I had great hopes today with Fred. I got my laundry done, all 5 loads from the long weekend with house guests. I watered my plants, mowed the lawns, weed whacked, had lunch, planned supper and then it hit me like a ton of bricks!

Black Aida cloth is sooooo black! It was a sunny day, I was sitting near my favorite window and I was having great difficulty seeing the little holes just to mark the grid lines. I tried my white pillowslip over my lap but no...I'm going to need my mag eyes to do the whole thing!!!! How special do you think I'm going to look, stitching away on the front porch with that get up on!

After starting, ripping it out and restarting...I have absolutely nothing to show up to this posting! I don't think I was in the right frame of mind to get this started...which is my biggest downfall - the beginning. Once I get going, I'm usually pretty good about finishing unless something upsetting happens. Then I stop before I make a HUGE mistake in counting.

My expectations for today may have been too energetic. I won't be giving this up easily, I will just have to re access my plan of attack. I hope you had a productive stitching day!

Addendum - A special note for Isabelle...I hope this reads the way I meant it! If not, please forgive me! Merci pour vous les mots et l'encouragement gentils. Quelques jours que tout appartient à l'endroit, les autres temps, rien fait ! C'est agréable pour avoir le soutien d'amis comme vous !

You're right, don't give up! There's always tomorrow. :) La nuit porte conseil! (i.e., it's better to sleep on it)

Oh, I sooo feel your frustration. I've done that more times than I've had hot dinners. Many a time I've felt like chucking various projects in the nearest puddle or in the garbage! But yes, black fabric is a killer to work with - hang on in there, you will do it! :)

We all deserve a little whine every once in awhile ;o) Take your time and it will be worth it in the end. HUGS!
