Are we in for a recession?

While I haven't been stitching, I have been following the economic outlook and to say it isn't very optimistic would be an understatement.

We are doing our best to trim the fat and squeeze those pennies. Gas today in our area is $1.249/litre ($4.65/gal in US$). We were just discussing getting our camper out of storage and preparing it for the May long weekend get away. We may be parking in out town's camp ground if the prices continue to sky rocket.

I think we are as prepared for our daughter's wedding this summer as we can be. With the exception of food, flowers and the upcoming gown alterations, everything has been paid for and we do have money set aside for the rest. Let's hope it's enough!

I will do my part and not go stash shopping until I have made a significant dent in what I have already acquired. With that said, I should start stitching and do my part in conserving our reserves!

But that will have to wait until after my babysitting duties this weekend. Jonathan is coming for a visit and both his parents have to go in different directions...I do hope he likes me! I don't want him to cry all weekend! Will post update and photos Monday.

Have a great weekend!
