What should I think? Busy?

Last week a friend put my name forward for a local job - they need help with a huge back log of paperwork. I wasn't looking for employment...I'm busy enough as it is but the job intrigued me so I went in. I thought I presented myself well, got the overview of what needs they want to fill. I brought up the money question - was that a mistake? I didn't think so...I was never under the impression this would be a volunteer position...they replied with a range. When I left, I was given a biz card and if I had any further questions, I could call. Well I did and I tried calling...neither number got me connected and worse yet...no voice mailbox. So I emailed my queries.

I got a fairly prompt response but I'm left with an empty feeling...they would "review my points and get back to me later today or tomorrow" It's as if...they aren't entirely sure they are ready to hire someone for the position. I think they are still toying with the idea...poking it with a stick. I don't know what to think...I've worked for a lot of different people but never anyone so noncommittal...my former bosses have all been very dynamic, make things happen kind of people. this may not be a great match for either one of us. Stay tuned.

So as I wait for a call that may not materialize...I stitch away on...drum roll...AUTUMN chair! Can't wait to get into those rich colours. There better not be any frogs lurking around!
