Back in the mix

I took some time out for myself the past few days and things started to unfold...as they were probably meant to.

First off, Kevin's bag was located and retrieved. everything was there but we washed it all because you never know who's been pawing through it looking for some identification. Thanks to Gwen for the trace she put out.

I made some good head way with this year's charity quilt. It's based on this photo of Up a Lazy River . I love the movement of the water but alas, I have not been able to come close to recreating it. But it's a fun piece to work on.

Today I went through all of Dad's finances since the last audit. I want to make sure everything is in place in prep for whomever probates Dad's estate. And just as I as closing things out, I got an email from the legal firm. Now I have some research to do before I take the next step. Not sure what a Grant of Letters of Administration will give or do to me!!!! There may be a need for this for any final costs pertaining to his service. Or perhaps if I pay out of our pocket, it would be easier to put a claim in...not sure...hence the research over the next day or so.

The snow is continuing today...hope DH has a safe drive as he travels north to check with his clients. Brian is also on the road and should be home tonight. Not sure if he's working this weekend or not. Heard they are short drivers again...someone just quit and walked away, leaving a truck to freeze up before anyone noticed. Now that's not good for the bottom line, especially in these uncertain times.

My reading is continuing but I'm falling behind! What a terrible problem that is! tee hee! So many great works, so little time! I have my adapter ordered for my eBook. A full charge lasts quite a long time, but I don't plan on taking my computer on vacation with me!

Glad to hear you got the luggage back especially with nothing missing.

The truck driver that walked away and didn't notify anyone was not a very responsible person.

Hope everyone in your family takes care and stays safe.

I'm glad to hear that things are on the up. I wish we had a wee bit of the cold. Temperatures here are 35C! It's hot and beginning to be stressful.
I'm also glad that the suitcase was found. I lost a bag on my way home from Canada, that was never found again. No souvenirs of the trip remain.
