Stitching has gone by the wayside...my hands are so rough, I don't dare handle floss and fine needles. I do love Gardener's Clay Soap I got this as a Christmas gift from my daughter and it works so well. I just need to find a better moisturizer for the end of the day so my hands soften overnight. I've been using Aveeno but think I need something thicker...any suggestions?

My MIL likes a goat's milk cream you can find at Cracker Barrel Restaurants, but I prefer Bath and Bodyworks Body Butter creams. They're a little on the pricey side, but a little goes a LONG way, and they smell so good.
Also, if scents bother you, try Neutrogena Hand Cream, or better still, Eucerin cream. DH loves both of these in the winter when his hands get chapped, and again, a TINY little bit goes a very long way.
Jennifer is right, try Neutrogena. I can't remember the name of mine (too lazy to run upstairs) but it does work wonders :O)

My suggestion would be to try Gold Bond lotion! It works wonderfuly for me. My hands dry and crack and bleed every single winter but this past winter I found this stuff and I never had one crack or bloody spot. They did get red and dry but nothing like usual!
Oh yes, I know exactly what you are talking about - the pain. We just finished the lawn raking here and we were sore the next few days.
For hand cream, I use Gloves in a Bottle. Your hands are not greasy so one can do crafts immediately without staining their fabrics.
