What the heck?

Wednesday night was exciting...the heavens opened up and let loose with this for about 20 minutes. Most of the plants have been shredded. But I took photos a few days earlier to remind me what had been. No damage to the vehicles. As of last night on the north side of things around the house, there was still small ribbons of hail yet to melt. I wonder if any of those pesky grasshoppers got pelted?

That looks and sounds like quite a storm there. Sorry to hear about the plants being shredded but at least there was no serious damage done!

That is a nasty storm, but like "pumpkin" said, better than snow.

Wow. My father once told me that thunderstorm downpours usually only ever last 20 minutes - but what spectacular 20 minute periods they are! Here's hoping it stayed dry...
