34 wonderful years

Today Joe & I celebrate our 34th wedding anniversary. He's working today but I'm picking him up at the end of his shift and we are headed south. We're planning on taking the 3 grandchildren through the corn maze if weather permits and it's still standing after this week of horrid cold temperatures. Then we all sit down to a sumptuous turkey dinner! Another short visit but we'll take family time when we can get it!

This has been a mentally strenuous week. One friend had her foot operated on and is now off her feet for ~ 6 weeks...yeah...I don't think she''ll last 6 days! Another is scheduled for a biopsy on Tuesday...and we are holding our breath just waiting...for the procedure and then another 5 days or so for the results. One friend is taking her to the appointment and I'm pencilled in for supper and after care. With so many pulling together, how could things not work out? I do have the best friends!

I did a 10 Christmas card night @ Towne Stamper . I really enjoyed the simple ones the best, not because of the ease of making them, they just seemed so right. My favorite was the Embossed Snowflake Ornaments. We gt out of there around 9:30 and home @ 1:30. What a long day, especially after all that fresh air at the Zoo with JR.

I dug out my stitching again only to put it down...my mind is on other things/people and I would so hate to have the frog appear.

Our garden is done but we have great plans to work on over the winter for next year. I especially like the idea of doing a garden quilt. A friend from the garden club did one with different coloured lettuces...gorgeous!

Romy continues to settle in...usually on my lap. She jumps up when I'm trying to work at the computer. She jumped unto my project at the sewing machine. I was putting photos into the album and there she was...I think she's lonely here. Perhaps it's simply too quiet for her. She'll have to get used to it because I like a calm peaceful environment.

Speaking of which, I must post this and go feed my blue jay his peanuts...he is a loud character!

Hope everyone has a wonderful Thanksgiving surrounded by family and friends!
