What do you think of when you think April?

I personally think of tulips & crocuses along with cleansing April showers.  Next months B o M theme is a basket!  I don't want to do a basket but...I will just to play along.  I'm sure others in the group have a block they would prefer to opt out of.  However I started this so I will finish it.

My blocks are black and white with just one different colour each month.  January was blue,February red and March green.  I'm thinking of doing a black basket against the white background with a couple small appliqued tulips handing over the edge,  no leaves.  I think that May is going to be a watering can or perhaps a birdhouse, so I can pretty much select any colour for the tulips.

I'm leaning towards an orange or peach, mainly because orange may never get used unless we do a pumpkin in October.  Then I would have 2 orange blocks and is that too much.  I'm not sure.  I wish I knew what the upcoming months' themes were but this is a bit of a mystery quilt. I found these online -
A part of me wants to take the safe route and make them yellow, but I want the most color variety as I can get.  These look fresh and to me say Spring, not autumn.  I need to step back and look again with fresh eyes and perhaps some of your input as well. So, what do you think? Here are the first 3 blocks.

Gorgeous, gorgeous tulips Berta. To me too April means all the wonderful, amazing spring blooms and fresh green trees, grass etc. What could be prettier? The colors are so clean and pure and mean new life is everywhere.

I want to email you but have a new computer without the old addresses. Please drop me a line at megratdataviadotcom so I can email back and bring you UTD.

hugs, Margaret

Hmmm....what about pink for your tulips if you want to keep the orange for later on?

Pink? I never even considered that - thanks Pumpkin...I may even have a scrap or two!

I was going to suggest pink too. Perhaps a pinky-orange / salmon color?
