Seems that I get to watch a taping of The Tonight Show with Jay Leno as well as the others!!!! I can't even imagine what it's going to be like. Each has such a different format, I think I'll learn a lot.
Everyone in the immediate family is on board for my brother's monument, so today I gave final approval and progress has begun. I think Mark would have approved. I'm hoping the snow hangs off long enough for it to be installed this month.
We have our tickets bought for next month's trip. You aren't surprised are you? I did say I wanted to stay home in December. We'll see. We are going west in November to see the MacKlunky's as they are fondly referred to. I'm hoping to meet up with my sister who lives in the area as well.
Tonight's Loose Threads gathering took an unexpected turn. Someone donated 4 large garbage bags for fabrics. We went through the pieces, found some that had water stains and others were stay out of the 1980's - peach & seafoam green! As each piece of fabric was revealed, we were discussing what to do with it. It didn't take long to sort the heavy twill for tote bag.We found cottons of every colour for our next group effort and 2 of those printed vest panels. I grabbed a bag and brought it home to wash and go through more thoroughly. I'm hoping the rain will stop long enough this week so I can wash it and then hang it out to dry and air any stale smells that may remain. You can't beat fresh air drying even if it means lots of ironing!
Until next time...
