Fertilizer Friday

What's a person supposed to do when it's -24°C outside (which is good because it was -31°C yesterday)?  Anything garden related!!!!  And Tootsie has Fertilizer Friday up and running!  Just the thought of getting my hands dirty and planting seeds puts a smile on my face.

I was so amazed at my first attempt...successful at that...growing an amaryllis, I will be doing more this coming fall.  I'd love to tell you what the name of this beauty is, but it certainly isn't the deep red the packaging led me to believe it was!  I absolutely love the salmon edges against that creamy white.  I had 8 blooms open last month about the size of my hand of which there is only one remaining.  Absolutely stunning!

We must be having a heat wave compared to you! -15C is about as cold as we've had it so far this winter. When it hits the temperatures you're having, I don't even want to go outdoors.
Absolutely beautiful amaryliss, love the colour.

I have the same problem, package describes a different flower then I received. But they have such lovely big flowers, does not matter the color, who could not love them.
