Nursery is ready but no baby yet!

The room looks so cozy and welcoming, walls are a soft butter yellow with white trim. Curtains and crib skirt are a gold and brown check which goes well with the oak furniture.

DD had her weekly check up yesterday and I think she was a little disappointed when she found out the baby could be in the running for the first for 2007! Here they have loads of gifts under the tree, and perhaps no baby to open them!

I can relate to her feelings. I was due to deliver her pre Christmas and she hung around until January 5, the day after my birthday. It would be so cool to have a 3, 4, 5 birthday combo!

In the meantime, DD is doing very well, everything looks good. Daddy-to-be returns from his business trip tomorrow and I may just have to go visit my other grandkids for a day or 2 before heading home on Sunday.

Stitching wise...I brought it but haven't unpacked it! Am I bad or what! I'm sure once I'm home and the nervous energy hits me - all my baking is done, gifts are wrapped etc - I'll be stitching up a storm!

Hope everyone is well

Hi Berta~ So glad you checked in! I'm glad to hear everything is going well and the nursery is set and ready to go. But these little ones have a mind of their own definitely! Good thoughts for a safe delivery for Mom and the new one.

Well it sounds like your DD's little one is going to be just like her and hang around. I do hope that all goes well and she does not get to disappointed if she has to wait a while longer!

Seems like we spend the first half of our kids' childhoods trying to hurry them and the second half trying to slow them down!

This is such an exciting time! Enjoy!!!
