Hugs & Smiles!

Thank you all for visiting my little corner of the house. I feel so blessed to have this space. While the girls were home, growing up, I too had to make due with a corner of the kitchen table and a sewing box! Now we have the space -even with the nephews! - and I am so relaxed puttering about my area.

Speaking of the nephews...well Joe's bar room where we gather and play games...some board, some darts...is slowly being transferred into a music room. I found that there was enough money in K's account to buy him his very own electric guitar and amp. He is really enjoying his music lessons. Then B decided he wanted in on the music action and bought himself an early holiday gift...a set of digital drums! So all in all there are 2 electric guitars and amps, 2 acoustic guitars, a keyboard and a set of drums all residing in the one little room! But they are havign such a wonderful time, how could we not encourage them? As a teaser...South Edmonton Common will be hosting the one and only Gene Simmons this Saturday. He'll be around for ~ 2 hours of autograph signing and a play off of Rock Star with some lucky entrant. Guess where these 2 boys will be on Saturday????

We have our youngest daugther and family arriving later tonight for the weekend. Both grandsons on different days have called to see if our hot tub was still up and running. They haven't been here since July and the concept of winter everywhere isn't quite there! lol So that next best thing is a trip to WEM on Saturday. The ladies can shop while the guys do Galaxyland and then we can switch and take the boys to mini golf while the fellas shop. Meet for lunch and it's a great day with little stress except on the pocketbook! I think we are just relaxing for the evening and then Sunday morning we are off to Joe's company kids' Christmas party where a certain someone will be a guest appearance. We are just hoping JT & Alex arre so excited they don't recognize Santa's voice! I'll let you know how that went on Monday

I hope you all have a wonderful weekend, drive safe if you are on the roads!

Sounds like you are in for a great fun weekend. Do enjoy it and hope everyone enjoys Santa at the party. We don't have any grandkids, only granddogs. Still have fun with them. Have a great weekend.

That's wonderful that the boys are interested in music. I've always wanted to learn how to play the piano or drums :o)

Hope you have a great time with the family!

The nephews must be having a wonderful time with their music instruments. What a great outlet music is for the young soul.

Have a great time with the family this weekend. The man in red will be sooo welcome for the little ones. Enjoy!!

I hope you all had a wonderful weekend together. The cadet princess gave me a surprise and arrived home for a long weekend on Sunday!

Music, music, music. I know all about it. It was with a firm 'no' that we managed to get out of getting a trumpet for the Living Doll. At the time, I thought piano, violin, clarinet and 2 cellos were enough to contend with. I believe the cadet princess has a set of drums up north that she plays.
