Last day in May

Yes this is a shot of my front yard taken yesterday...May 30...the footsteps were from me walking along brushing the heavier snow off the dahlias & roses.  The annuals in front can be replaced.

This is one of my tulips...short lived but yes, we did have a brief spring before winter arrived back with a vengeance.

Earlier this month I had the chance to pot up some home grown annuals with my grandson Jonathan.  He has the potential of a green thumb!  His other grandmother also likes to dabble in the dirt!  Our eldest daughter was the day's supervisor.   Don't you love my tie dyed t-shirt?  How can you have a bad day when you are wearing something that fun...it almost glows in the sunlight.

I was a happy camper this weekend despite the not so great weather outside...I got back to my stitching!  I received my needlework stand of choice...The Daylight Stitch Smart and I simply love it. Click HERE for more info.  After doing much research and consulting with others who had stands...I'm sure I made the right choice.  I love how lightweight it is...easy to move around, compacts for storage or traveling  and it's a breeze to flip your work over to finish your ends.  I did also buy the accessories...the chart holder and light. Now to play catch up with my projects  now my wrists are much happier!

DH started his new job and seems to be loving it.  It's nothing he can't handle.  We video chat most mornings and evenings which is an added bonus.  Not sure of his upcoming schedule, we should know more this week and then the fun of planning his home time begins!

Hope this finds you all well and being creative!  TTYL :)

Just wanted to add how pleased I am with my new stand. I had a few minutes to sit with a cup of tea and had a wonderful 15 minutes of stitching!

Ewwwww snow!!! I hope summer finds you soon out there.

Your stand looks like a great accessory. Its so compact. I'm glad you've had a chance to enjoy it even if it is only for a few minutes. :)

I can't believe you have snow! My mom lives in Montana and she often gets springtime snow too. :) You're inspiring me to get out in my garden! x

Oh no - SNOW!! It is hard to imagine when here we are nearing the triple digits.

How fun that you got to garden with Jonathan - what a great hobby to share.

Your stand sounds great and I'm glad you are enjoying it already.

Sounds like DH's job is going well - wonderful!!

Berta, I hope you don't send all that snow this way. We have been fortunate on the East Coast that it was not a bad winter this year.

Great stand and sounds like you are doing great with it.

Think of the positives of the snow - you get spring again at the end! LOL Like the others, I hope you find some warmth soonest. I'm glad you are enjoying your daylight lamp. Sunshine is not really a problem here, when it comes to stitching, that is. Life with the man of the house away really changes the little routines, doesn't it? Stay sane. Did you get my letter?

ROFL! I'm sorry, I heard you guys got snow ;o)

I've never seen that stand before but I'm glad that it turned out to be just what you wanted!

I hope DH loves his new job. That makes all the difference.
